Install

Publishing eval logs to Evaris needs two toolchains: Python for running Inspect AI evals, and Node for the evaris CLI / SDK.

Python (eval authoring and execution)

Requires Python 3.10+.

pip install "inspect-ai>=0.3.0,<0.4.0"

If your agent uses an OpenAI-compatible provider (Z.ai, OpenAI, etc.), also install the provider client your agent needs. The reference example uses LangChain:

pip install "langchain>=1.0.0" "langchain-openai>=1.0.0" "openai>=1.0.0"

Node (SDK + CLI)

Requires Node 20+. The CLI and SDK ship as the evaris package on npm:

npm install evaris
npx evaris --help

Verify

inspect --version      # Inspect AI
node --version         # v20+
npx evaris --help      # prints usage
